At Prince Albert Primary School all of our children are assigned to one of our six houses.
Our six houses are:
These six houses represent our schools core values and were chosen by staff, parents and children. To identify these core values staff worked in small groups to discuss a selection of 25 values and what they all meant. They then, individually, voted for the 6 they felt most represented what we wanted to achieve as a school. The set of values also went out to parents to vote and our children also did some work on values and voted for their favourites. Once the results were in and collated we were able to identify our most popular core values and that's where Prince Albert's Houses all began!
Our house system is a way of encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils to foster key skills such as:
Being a part of a team
Creating relationships with children in the wider school
Children can be awarded house points which are rewarded for positive behaviour. House points are awarded to children who display excellent effort, attitude, kindness or manners. House points are collated at the end of every half term and individual awards are given to the top 5 house point winners in each class.
School Sports Competitions
House competitions take place on a half termly basis with children competing against the other houses within there year group. All children compete in intra school house competitions which take place in the year group's last P.E lesson of every half term.
