You will have seen on the news in the last few weeks that there has been a number of schools which have been evacuated due to bomb threats which have turned out to be hoaxes.
In the event that our school were to have a bomb threat we would evacuate to our nearest school, Mansfield Green. Once we are all safely there we would send a text message to all parents to let them know how to collect their child.
Your child's safety is extremely important to us and to ensure that we can text or call you in the event of an emergency please can you check that the main school office has your most up to date contact details.

Monday 25th January is attendance awareness day! We would like our children to come to school in non-school uniform on Monday. To fit in with our bumble bee 'bee on time' theme it would be great if everybody dressed in black and yellow. Of course, if there are any bee costumes out there, we would love to see you in them! Throughout the day we will have various activities to raise the children's awareness of the importance of coming to school regularly and on time. Wouldn't it be fantastic if, as a school, we had 100% attendance on Monday and no lates!
We are studying living things and their habitats for our Science topic this term. As part of this, we have organised a “Meet a Creature” Wow experience. During this experience, children will have the opportunity to observe, and even hold, some interesting and exotic animals.
The workshops are designed specifically for our topic and will be carried out by a trained and experienced animal man, with the supervision of their teacher.
If your child has any allergies which may be triggered by contact with an animal, please speak to their class teacher.
The school is contributing towards the cost of this workshop; however we do require a voluntary contribution of £2.50 per child to cover the total cost of this WOW experience. We believe that this experience will be very valuable to the children, and their learning in Science this term.
Please send £2.50 to school in an envelope marked with your child’s name and class by Monday 25th January 2016. Please note, no change will be given and in the event that your child is unable to take part we are unable to provide a refund.
Please be aware that in the event of not enough voluntary contributions being made, the visit may have to be cancelled.
If you have any concerns, please speak to your child’s teacher.
