Monday 16th November was one of our designated “Online Safety” days. Throughout the day children took part in a range of different online safety activities, increasing their skills and awareness to help keep them safe online.
In Key Stage 1 children used the existing characters from Hectors world to make posters that promoted a key online safety point. In Key Stage 2 children designed their own sea creature character to join Hectors world, each with its own name and message. Chilren in Early Years read the story of Smartie the Penguin with their teachers.
All parents and guardians had the opportunity to come along to school and ask any online safety questions that they had, whilst enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake. These sessions were well attended, with parents asking some fantastic questions and participating in some great discussions on how to keep children safe online at home. Thank you to those parents who attended and also for your positive feedback.
Thank you to all of our children, parents and teachers for making the day a great success! Remember, if you have an online safety concern you can report it here.
