“This is a highly inclusive and successful school which is seeking to improve still further and can offer valuable support to other schools.”
On 7th February, Prince Albert School had an Inclusion Quality Mark review to see if it would qualify as an Inclusion Quality Mark Centre of Excellence for another year.
Assessor Barry Carney, spent the day at school, meeting with staff and children to look at the progress we had made since the last assessment 12 months ago.
We are very proud to be able to say that we were awarded Centre of Excellence status again for another year.
We were sent a report following the review that you can read in full here but we just wanted to share a few highlights with you.
“In 2015, Ofsted noted that “Every aspect of this school’s work is exceptional” and it was evident from all that I saw on my visit, that this was an accolade truly deserved.
What was particularly impressive was the quality of provision for children with complex needs and the pastoral support afforded to all.
The tireless work to develop a secure, wrap-around and caring environment that promotes a good sense of wellbeing is to be applauded.”
“Pupils are very well presented in their smart uniforms which also serve to identify their involvement in the school through a host of pupil leadership opportunities.
Behaviour is excellent and there is ample evidence of the respect that pupils and staff have for each other.”
