Covid-19 Notifications and Christmas

Dear Parents and Carers,

Covid-19 Notifications and Christmas

As you all are aware, we break up on Thursday 17th December for the Christmas holidays. With the ongoing pandemic situation, schools are expected to be available for contact regarding Covid-19 beyond this date. We have been informed that Public Health England/Track and Trace may contact us up to and including Christmas Everegarding isolation actions needed.

Please read the information below to familiarise yourself with actions to take if your child becomes unwell during the Christmas break. It is important that we continue to communicate quickly and efficiently to keep our school community as safe as we possibly can.

What does this mean for parents and pupils?

  • If any pupil feels unwell or becomes symptomatic on Friday 18th December or Saturday 19th December, it is essential you book a test immediately.
  • Please inform school via the email address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (this is the mailbox which will be manned during the Christmas break NOT enquiry@)
  • As soon as you receive the test results please inform school via email.
  • Should someone test positive, school will communicate quickly and efficiently with any affected staff or pupils who are considered to be close contacts. This will be via text message.
  • Identified staff and pupils, who have been informed of close contact, must act appropriately and isolate themselves in line with government guidance. We really hope this won’t happen but it is vital we all know what to do if it does.
  • If pupils become unwell/symptomatic from the 20th December onwards, please inform school via email and follow all government guidance. No action will be needed for other staff/pupils in school because the 48 hour window will have passed.

And finally…

Thank you for all of your support during the Autumn term. Covid-19 continues to challenge us and the way we work, but nonetheless, we have strived to keep school positive and our pupils happy, healthy and safe. The support of our parent community has kept all of the staff going through these difficult and tiring times in school.

We hope your child has enjoyed our COVID-friendly Christmas build-up and that you all have a wonderful festive break.

Yours sincerely

Miss M Davies
Head of School
