Feedback letter - Meet the CEO coffee morning

Dear parents and carers,

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who came to the ‘meet our CEO’ coffee morning. We have collated all of the feedback that we received and would like to take this opportunity to share the common threads with you.

• You said that your children feel happy and safe at school and that Prince Albert have great teachers, who have high expectations, work hard and who have very good relationships with your children.
• You also said that you are really happy with the external services that school provides including the school nurse, educational psychologist and speech therapists.
• You said that school have lots of different opportunities to engage parents with your children’s learning and this included meet the teacher sessions held in September, termly workshops with your child and their class teacher, SATS and Phonic workshops specifically for Y1 and Y6 children and parents evening.
• You said that you were happy with the extra sessions your children were receiving if they were falling behind and you talked about the additional booster sessions that we hold after school and on Friday afternoons.
• You recognised that senior leaders are visible on the playground at the beginning and end of each school day and that you felt that you could speak to them regarding any concerns that you may have.

You also told us that:

• You would like further information on safeguarding, RSE and keeping your children safe online and would like links to organisations to further support your understanding.
• You wanted school to provide children with more educational visits and trips
• You talked about the local community and addressed your concerns when it came to littering in the area and also shared your concerns regarding parking at the beginning and end of the school day
• You asked if school could further support with the signposting of organisations which can help with parent classes, including ESOL and IT skills.
• You said that there was nothing for children to do in the community and would like school to signpost parents to local community projects/workshops for children to engage in during the weekends/school holidays.
• You talked about further improving parent views and parent feedback and would like school to look into developing this.

We really appreciate your feedback and will be sending communication addressing each area in due course.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to come and speak to me,

Kind regards,

Mrs S Patel
