On Friday 13th, our wonderful school choir visited Shire Brook Court Retirement Home. The children were very excited to spread their festive spirits and sang to the residents, who sang along and danced joyfully. We are so proud of the childrens' community spirt and their natural ability to embrace these wondeful opportunities.

On Thursday 28th November, we launched our Welfare Hub. We were delighted to welcome parents/carers into school to speak to our pastoral team, learning mentors, SENDCO and senior leadership team. Our Welfare Hub is open every Thursday morning between 9am and 10am and is an opportunity for our community to seek advice on a range of areas such as: behaviour, safeguarding, attendance, online safety, support with completing application forms or simply an opportunity to seek advice on signposting to agencies available in Birmingham. The Welfare Hub is located in The Arches - on the far end of the playground. We hope to see more parents/carers join us next Thursday - everyone is welcome!
On Friday 29th November, Mr Rotimi (Ras Hyatt) relaunched TT Rockstars! TTRS is a fun, interactive maths programme that takes all the worry out of learning times tables and has a proven track record of boosting children's fluency and recall in multiplication and division. We encourage your child to access TTRS at home to support their learning and boost their confidence with numbers. Regular practice will make a big difference in helping them master key Maths concepts in a fun and engaging way! If your child needs a login, please see the class teacher.
On Friday 29th November, Mrs Patel, Mr Taylor and Mr Fletcher met with Councillor Mumtaz Hussain and Imran Khan from Highways. We discussed ongoing parking issues during drop-off and pick-up times and collabrated on future plans to minimise parking issues. We look forward to continuing to engage with senior representatives and to work in partnership with Councillor Mumtaz and Imran to make our school community safe for all children and residents.
